Community rules

Cemetery Arts is a home for Dark Art and the people who make and collect it. These rules keep it a place worth coming back to.

What belongs here

Art, film and books in the dark genres: horror, the macabre, gothic, occult, folklore and dark surrealism. Dark themes are welcome. Cruelty toward real people is not.

Not allowed

• Anything illegal, and any sexual content involving minors. We report it and close the account immediately.
• Content that harasses, threatens, or shows hatred toward people because of who they are.
• Real violence or real suffering shown for shock, and material that identifies or targets real private individuals.
• Selling work you did not make, or that you do not have the right to sell.
• Spam, scams, and asking people to pay outside an agreed purchase.
• Sharing other people’s personal details.
• AI-generated work is allowed if it is clearly labelled as AI-generated.

Be a good neighbour

Give honest, kind feedback. Disagree without insults. Dark humour is fine when it is not aimed at someone in the room.

Reporting and moderation

Use the flag next to a message, or “Report” on a work or creator. Our team reviews reports and may hide content, remove works, suspend or close accounts. We aim to act on reports within two working days. Serious cases are handled sooner.

If you think we got a decision wrong, write to contact@cemeteryarts.com.

Age

You must be 18 or older to use Cemetery Arts.
